Status Explained

There are two statuses related to tasks added to the system: One which tracks the status of the job, the bit which tells you which house boards are to be added to. The second tracks the status of the task which lives inside a job.

A Job is made up of multiple Tasks.

Job (Property)

  1. Address
  2. Job Status
  3. Multiple Tasks

Task (Movement)

  1. What action to perform on the connected job.
  2. When to perform it
  3. Task Status

So a single job has lots of tasks, but a task can only be assigned to one job.

Job Status

The statuses available for a job are:

  • Stage 1 - Board is out, promoting sale or letting availability.
  • Stage 2 - Board is out, sale or letting completed, promoting lettings or sales business.
  • Complete - Board has been retrieved, the board life-cycle is complete.

Task Status

The statuses available to task are:

  • Open - This task has yet to be done.
  • Completed - This task has been marked as having been done.
  • Invoiced - This task has been marked as invoiced.
  • Cancelled - The task has been cancelled.

It is important to understand which context you are viewing a status in as to not confuse a completed task with a completed job.
