Invoice Generator

BoardClever has an Invoice Generating feature which allows you to bill all completed tasks completed in a given time frame, you can access this feature from the Invoices menu and clicking Generate Invoices.

Notable Mentions:

Tasks must be marked as being completed to be invoiced in the invoice generation, once in an invoice tasks are marked as Invoiced.

If Split Invoicing is enabled in the System Settings then multiple invoices will be generated for the clients which have this option enabled. Enabling this will change the layout of your invoices to either create one invoice for all tasks completed or create an invoice for each job type, eg: Invoice Sales, Lettings, Commercial Sales etc, individually.

For invoice generation to work tasks must be assigned a cost within the client pricing. See  Configure Jobs, Tasks and Pricing

A note on invoice deleting vs archiving

Some Board Clever users like to push their invoices through to an accounts system and remove them from Board Clever.

Deleting an invoice presumes you will need to create a new invoice from those tasks in future so changes the status of all the tasks listed on that invoice from 'Invoiced' back to 'Completed'. 

If you wish to not show the invoice in Board Clever after you've dealt with it in another system, It is better to archive the invoices instead. This removes them from your view but does not change the status of the associated tasks.

Exporting Invoices as CSV

It's is possible to export individual or groups of invoices as CSV files for importing into an accounts package. This file format is a direct match for ClearBooks but can be altered for others.

The file format is:
